Also, a new laser-cut project using an ESP 32 microcontroller to show a heads up weather prediction. Touchscreen works, you can set the degree format, home location, and if it sleeps at night. Case is undergoing a redesign...

I love ePaper/eInk screens, and was happy to add this one to my growing collection.
Not bad for first generation design. Lots of laser cuts need to be tuned for tighter (or looser) fit, but overall, my first pass just worked. I got sloppy with the wood glue, and should have taken better care glueing in the side panels, but it holds up! Next revision will include a top-mounted LED light to cast wonderfully long shadows as a night light. 2mm wood, silver paint, paper and transparency film, custom die-cut sticker for phone, and translucent paper print for top billboards.
Poor thing. It was captured and released after much hullaballoo.
I used to just worry about getting buffed. Now I have to worry about Nazis.
